EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In today's rapidly advancing cargo and logistics industry, it is important for industry players to remain cognizant about the latest developments emerging in various sectors.

It has become advent that the cargo transport and logistics industry need to collaborate and integrate as a whole in order to excel economically.

Based on Frost & Sullivan, Malaysian logistics industry is expected to grow 10.3 per cent to RM129.93 billion in 2012, a marked increase from an estimated RM117.8 billion a year ago.

Sea freight is the most favoured mode of transport for cargoes in Malaysia, handling more than 90 per cent of total freight traffic in 2011, adding that total cargo volume by sea is expected to grow 10.1 per cent to 538 million tonnes in 2012.

Port Klang, Malaysia's busiest container port, contributed 39.2 per cent of total sea throughput in 2011.
